Government of Punjab, Pakistan has launched a new Livestock Support Program for poor women of rural areas of Punjab. The department responsible for this program is Livestock and Dairy Development Department.
The eligible women will get free animals like cows, buffaloes, and goats. The winners will be decided by a balloting process. The results were announced on 21 October 2026 here on this website.
The phase 1 of this project commenced from 13 districts of South Punjab.

Bank of Punjab is saying that it has supported the development of a 250-bed tertiary care hospital in Islamabad.

Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is inviting applications for the award of scholarships for PhD programs under US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor program. Masters/MS leading to PhD programs are not included.
The scholarships are valid only for admissions to US universities. The university is required to be in the top 100 QS World Ranked US universities.
The scholarships are for Spring/Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 admissions. HEC says that it will give preference to applications having admission in preferred subject areas.

Pakistan Banks Association has launched a new scheme called Pasban Remittance Reward Scheme under the patronage of State Bank of Pakistan. The goal is to increase the flow of money through official banking channels instead of hawala or hundi.
The requirement is just to receive USD 100 or an equivalent amount in other currency for three months consequently. This has to be a home remittance. The draw will be held after every three months. The rewards will be funded by commercial banks, not the State Bank of Pakistan.
